Where are we going?

We can't wait to spend time with you in one of our favorite places on earth! Wrightsville Beach is a five-mile barrier island, connected by bridge to the coast of Wilmington NC. While you can book accommodations in Wilmington (the mainland), we encourage everyone to stay on Wrightsville Beach so you can hopefully walk to our ceremony venue. We've added some general travel information below for your convenience.

ILM
Wilmington International Airport

The Wilmington airport is by far the most convenient for visiting Wrightsville beach. It's a 25-minute drive from ILM to Wrightsville Beach. It's easy to get an Uber or Lyft, but you could also consider renting a car.

RDU
Raleigh-Durham International Airport

The airport in Raleigh, NC is generally your only other viable option for flying to eastern North Carolina. It's a two hour drive on I-40 from RDU to Wrightsville Beach. You'll need a rental car!

Trailborn Surf & Sound - The closest hotel to our venue is the Trailborn Surf & Sound. A number of our family members will be staying there! The hotel is only a five-minute walk to our venue.

Holiday Inn - Wrightsville Beach - A larger hotel on the North end of Wrightsville Beach. A bit further from our venue, you'll likely want an Uber on our wedding day as it's 1.8 miles away.

Surf Suites - A smaller hotel on the South End of Wrightsville Beach. It's 0.6 miles from our venue, either a 15 minute walk or 3 minute drive. This hotel is super close to Beach Access #40 where we'll be hanging out Sunday afternoon.

Note: we do not have a block at any hotel.

Airbnb or Vrbo - We'll be staying in an Airbnb on Wrightsville Beach for the weekend and would recommend our guests do the same! There are a lot of great beach houses on the island. The south end of the island is closer to our venue and generally the older end with slightly smaller houses. The north end of the island will have larger and newer houses and be slightly further from our venue.

Drift Cafe - Wrightsville Beach - Our favorite sit down breakfast spot. Drift Cafe is on Harbor Island (the little island between Wrightsville Beach and Wilmington).

The Workshop - Wrightsville Beach - Good spot for coffee, smoothies, and sandwiches. This spot is close to the center of the island.

SUNdays - Wrightsville Beach - A cute little coffee shop above a surf shop. This spot is just .4 miles from beach access #40, where we'll be hanging out on Sunday afternoon.

Breakfast & Lunch

Food & Drink

Front Street Brewery - Downtown Wilmington - If you're looking to keep the party going after our Welcome Party on Friday, this is a great spot for a beer and bite. It's walkable from where our charter will drop us off!

The Palm Room - A fun Wrightsville Beach bar that's open late. Often has great live music (and unfortunately occasionally a $5-$10 cover).

Lagerheads Tavern
- A classic Wrightsville Beach dive bar that's open late.

Dinner

Ceviches - Wrightsville Beach - Our favorite dinner place, just off the island. Panamanian food with amazing ceviche, tropical drinks, and other bites. If you want to eat dinner there Friday night, we'd recommend getting a reservation!

Tower 7 - Wrightsville Beach - A Wrightsville Beach staple! It's a lively Baja-inspired Mexican restaurant and bar. Lots of margarita flavors!

Poe's Tavern - Wrightsville Beach - A sports bar serving American Food. Poe's is good for large groups and is on Harbor Island (the small island between Wrightsville Beach and Wilmington).
